I am in Australia and recently upgraded from a Montana 680 to Montana 700. The 700 has Topo Lite inbuilt maps which are very basic. I purchased the V6 SD card for the 700 which has more detailed maps than Topo Lite. My 680 had inbuilt maps (V5 which is obviously an earlier version of maps) which was way more detailed. I am a bushwalker and yesterday I was out with someone who has a 680. We were next to a tributary of a main creek and my 700 didn’t show any of the various tributaries, the 680 did. There are also various old logging roads that are listed on the 680 but not on the 700. Obviously they have dropped off old logging roads but the tributaries should always be there on the new maps. I can’t buy a V5 SD card and drop back to more detailed maps as the 700 doesn’t support V5. Has anyone come across this problem and what did you do.
