I recently updated my Garmin Montana 750i to the lasted North American map online as I was prompted to update my device. It did not complete the update as the Garmin Montana 750i does not have enough space. So in the past I copied the maps to an SDMicro card. But now I forgot how to safe the update to my SDMicro card and need instructions on how to do it. As a result of the incomplete update directly to my device, I get the error message: “Cannot authenticate maps - contact seller” or something to that effect. Is there an easy way I can just delete the map from my device and use the MicroSD Card? I don’t mind swapping out cards as I live in Japan and have a Japan map on an SD Card that works just fine. When I travel to the U.S. I would not mind just swapping out the cards. I just want to get rid of the installed map as there is insufficient space as it is and also want to get rid of the annoying error message.
So basically, I need two bits of help:
1. How do update and save maps onto a MicroSD card
2. How do safely delete the existing map on my device
