What is activity type "dly"?

I recently purchased a Montana 750i and am still getting used to its eccentricities. When I open "Profile Change" on the home page, the very last profile in the list is "dly." All the other profile names make sense, except this one. I don't see it defined in the 700 series manual anywhere, nor have I turned it up online. A former member asked the same question on this forum a couple years ago, but got no replies. Can anyone enlightenment me as to what "dly" means?

Did you purchase the 750i new or used?

Likely a corrupted profile. How many total profiles are present, and what are their names? Maybe we can help you determine which profile may or may not be 'missing'.

Well, 1-9 are the original profiles loaded on the device with the factory firmware, so you are not missing any!

Hard to say exactly where #10 came from, but I did have a similar issue recently on one of my Montana 7x0 devices, right before it started losing profiles, which lead to me performing a factory reset to return the device to factory new condition. You may want to do the same, but make sure you backup all important data first!

I contacted Garmin support. While admitting two accidentally created profiles with identical, seemingly random, letter combinations seems odd, that is what happened and I should just delete the profile. That is what I did. [As an aside, the letter combination "dly" may not be entirely random, as many adjectives end in those three letters, for instance stupidly, assuredly, purportedly, etc.]

Did you resolve this? I recently got a 700i that also has the dly profile.

Nothing beyond what I said above: it's not a real profile and why it has occurred on at least a few units is unexplained. You should be able to delete the profile without adverse consequences.
