Update to 16.70

I have the Garmin Montana 750i using a Mac. I have tried updating to 16.70 to no avail. I tried the unit by itself after it was connected to my iPhone and WiFi and it will not update. I have restarted my unit many times...still no update. I am able to sync with my iPhone and did all the updates in the iPhone. Still no update. Any reason for this?

Open a support ticket.

Mac is definitely a second-class citizen in the Garmin ecosystem. I don't even know if Garmin Express is an option on a Mac.

I don't know of any reason why you cannot update via iPhone and the Explore app. Or via plain WiFi (with no involvement with the phone). Which is why I suggest a support ticket.

Hello TYPHOONTOM0402 Please try updating it using Garmin Express if it is not updating through your phone. Updating the Software on Your Montana 700, 700i, or 750i

Garmin express seems to work okay on my Mac but it just says "No updates are available". I tried Garmin WebUpdater and it gives me the same message. I got a response from Leslie from Garmin and she just says to update through my phone, but I already stated in my original message that it is not updating.

Hello, I apologize but I think it may have been read wrong I was not suggesting to update through your phone I was suggesting using Garmin Express. I am going to message you privately to gather more information regarding the issue of updating your device.
