Montana 700, Turn Off Touching Screen Creating Waypoints

On the 600 Lock Screen did this, but on the 700 Lock Screen only seems to prevent a screen touch awakening the backlight, it doesn't seem to do anything else.

Is this a 700 or a 700i? If it's a 700, this is the wrong forum. There is no English-language forum for non-inReach handhelds.

I just tested this on a 750i. It works as it always has. Locking the screen fully locks the screen.

When the screen is unlocked, touching the map drops a pin. This is not a waypoint. It's just a pin. You can navigate to it (without creating a waypoint). Or you can use the hamburger menu option to save it as a waypoint. But you must take that explicit action to create the waypoint.
