Garmin Montana 700 Series - No Sound when Arriving to Route Points / Waypoints Navigating - Direct Path with Transitions by Distance

Hi we have used Garmin Montanas for past 15 ~ 20 years, all models, we use them mainly for off road events / desert navigation, including driving on dunes, obviously you cannot be expected to reach every waypoint with exact distance or the cars will bury in the sand, so we ALWAYS navigate with following settings, as instructed by event organisers:

Direct Routing:  Yes

Route Transitions: Distance (anything between 30 to 100 Meters, most of the time 50 meters)

Lock On Road: No

Course Navigation Method: Direct Path

When we navigate a route, each time the GPS arrives to a point and transitions to a new point in the route it PLAYS A SOUND. With the 700 series we notice that it does play the sound, but ONLY WHEN TRANSITION IS AUTO, when transition is auto, it does play the sound as expected, but when the transition is set to DISTANCE it transitions correctly but it DOES NOT PLAY ANY SOUND.

We are busy driving and rely on the sound of the GPS to become aware that we have arrived to a route point, we need the sound, the sound has always been there for past 15 ~ 20 years, why is the sound gone now?

I have uploaded a video to show this issue, currently running software 13.20
