I just changed from Montana 650 to Montana 700. Using it for snowmobiling. Surprisingly the display light is much worse/lower on the 700. Should it be like that, something wrong, or is the display light stronger on 650?

It has been discussed previously - go via here: https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/inreach/f/montana-700i-750i/247405/anyone-else-with-a-garmin-montana-750i-screen-display-very-dull-even-on-top-brightness
which links to here:
With the concluding post from Garmin being:
"Thank you to everyone who reached out about the request for more brightness while the Montana 7xx is in a powered mount. Unfortunately, this is a hardware limitation and it's not possible to increase the brightness beyond its current maximum. I confirmed that the Montana 7xx devices are able to use 100% screen brightness while in a powered mount, but that's as bright as it will go.
The only time the backlight is intentionally decreased is when connected to USB power (not in a mount) to save the battery.
We will continue to log user feedback related to the Montana screen brightness, so please feel free to send me a PM with a link to this post and I will add you to the ticket."
Thanks, really bad this with the light…
