Montana 750i "Main Page"

This may be an odd questions, but in the past with my Oregon and Montana 650t, when turning on the GPSr, it always had a very nice display that displayed the time, date, current coordinates, and other basic information. Then from there, I could click my way and do what I wanted to do. Now, with the new Montana 750i, it just goes right to the map and then I would click to have it display all the icons. It's okay, but I always thought the "Main Page" display looked so cool. Any way to do this with the 750i? I tried to include a picture but it does not upload here, but for those of you who have had the older Oregons or Montanas should know what I'm talking about. Also how can I make a background wallpaper, I was able to do so on the older GPSrs as well. And why can't I upload a picture here. It is not working?

The Montana 7x0 always powers up to the first page you have configured in the Favorite bar. The Montana 7x0 uses a new UI system that takes advantage of all that extra display resolution available. The Montana 7x0 does not currently support wallpaper as the Main Menu would be the only page to use it, and that page is not a fixed size.

There are other websites that explain all this in great detail, but I am prohibited from sharing them here.

How do I change the 'Main Menu' icon position? My Montana 7x0 does not allow this.

Setup > Menus > Favorites.

I know this menu, but I am _not_ able to move 'Main Menu' Icon there? It's not even listed there. Only my additional added ones. Did I missed something?

There is only room for five. You have do delete one first. Then Add Page, select Main Menu from the list. Position it as desired in the list. This is going to result in the main menu appearing twice on the favorites bar - once in the "home" position and once in the favorites list wherever you positioned it. But it does work.

I did not try the bootup behavior. I'm sure atlas_cached has it right.

I have not changed anything in my favorites menu for some time, I will look at my device again later today to see what is and is not still possible.

Adding "Main Menu" to favorites is definitely possible. I did it this morning. What I did NOT do is to test the boot-up behavior. That is, if I put Main Menu in the leftmost favorite position, does the unit boot to the main menu?

Ah, I see what you mean. I tried that and added a main menu, but it seems not to work for me. It does not matter on which position it is, devices always goes to main menu.

OK, you made me look

The Home (Main Menu) favorite behaves exactly as atlas_cached described it. If it is the leftmost favorite, it opens on boot. If it is not the leftmost favorite, whatever IS the leftmost opens on boot.
