Software/Firmware Updates

Does anyone know if the Montana 750i can be updated from the unit itself as long as it is connected to WiFi or does it have to be connected to my Mac? The older Montanas could only be updated when connected to my Mac.

My 750i regularly updates itself OTA when on my home WiFi. I do not know if this is one of the features that requires that the WiFi be originally "connected" via Garmin Express. That part is ancient history. It now updates itself regularly.
