Unable to sync Explore to montana 700i

Hi There

I have activated my Montana 700i for Inreach service.

When I log in to Explore Garmin website and go to Plans & devices Sync a window pops up to install Garmin express.

I have allredy installed garmin express and synced my 700i.

I had a previous Delorme device and had to download inreach sync program to sync device with Explore.

Any help will be appreciated.

Garmin Express is only used to deliver f/w updates. The old desktop sync program does not support newer devices like the 7x0i or the 66i. You must use the Explore MOBILE APP to sync data in either direction.

Thanks for your reply.

My IOS and Android devices are old and both incompatible to download Explore mobile app.

Looks like need to update.

Well, you don't HAVE to upgrade... You could just stick to using a sextant for navigation - your iPhone would surely be compatible with one of those!
