I cannot save tracks when recording from inReach->Tracking->Start Tracking on my Montana 750i. Do I have to send Mapshare for it to save?

I cannot save tracks when recording from inReach->Tracking->Start Tracking on my Montana 750i. Do I have to send Mapshare for it to save? Normally I Start Tracking from the iR icon then select <Tracking> followed by <Start Tracking> Once I'm finished tracking I select <Stop Tracking> Next I go back to the Home screen and select the Saved Tracks icon. It does NOT show the previous track in <Archived Tracks> or <Favorite Tracks> What am I missing here?

IIRC, this idiotic behavior is by design. I think you need to sync with the web site before the track "shows up" on the device. Try syncing (via the Explore app) and see what happens.

Makes no sense (to me) that stuff that is recorded on the device must be sync-d before it shows on the device. But that's the way I remember it.

I really like the Garmin Hardware as I own many different Garmin devices...however the embedded software/firmware and interface needs some help.
