Montana 700 problem with 10.50 update

Dear All

I am satisfied ovner of Garmin Montana 700. This week the device made an update to new softwere v10.50. I noticed that when I want to switch to other maps using icon on the map screen (below Plus and Minus icons for zooming), the device turns off. On my device I have original topo and CN map from Garmin. On the last version of software there was no issue. The second issue is using option " Auto Lock Screen" and "Battery Save". Before update, If I had "Auto Lock Screen"=OFF and "Battery Save"=ON, the screen turned on after you touch directly on the screen, now you have to press side botton to turn it on. I rather suspect that the change in power save wakeup behavior was intentional.

Obviously, the crash sounds like a bug. Open a support tidket.

I found out that the problem is in language, my language is Slovenian. Yesterday I made a test

First test: I changed the language into English and the problem seems to be solved.

Second test: I restored the device to factory defaults and while restoring I chose my language to Slovenian. After the restoration I tried to switch maps while being on the Map screen....the device turned off. I turn on the device and try again to switch between maps.... the montana shuts down.

Third test: I restored the device to factory defaults and while restoring I chose my language to English. After the restoration I tried to switch maps while being on the Map screen....the device worked OK

Forth test: I put an SD card in it with additional maps and tried to switch between them. The device works fine.

I guess that the "glinch" is in the language settings/updates. It is better to have set up in English, where there is a little chance that things would go wrong :)

It is totally pointless that two diferent power saving modes have the exactly same effect. Garmin has to fix this. In previous version of firmware worked as it supposed to.
