I bought a Montana 700i as replacement for the Montana 650, which served me well for many years. My major activity with it is motorcycle routing.
First of all, zooming in at intersections works fine, but there is an issue when it comes to zooming out again after the intersection or via-point.
When driving slower than 100 km/h the unit zooms out to a scale of 200 m, not more. As soon as you drive 100 km/h or more the unit zooms to about 600 m. This behaviour counteracts the large screen. With the old 650i and other Outdoor devices, it was common practice to set the zoom level to e.g. 1.2 km at a distance to the next turn of e.g. 5 km and then the unit zoomed out to a scale of 1.2 km after the intersection.
It would be very appreciated, if the Auto-Zoo function could be adjusted to a more practical and proven behaviour.
