How can I use the find menu to find say, lodging, in a different city?

for example, I’m in Lisbon and I want to find a hotel in Chaves?

where to>Lodging>hotel only brings up hotels near where I am. How do I search near a different city?

Same with searching for anything, it just shows nearby locations

any ideas?

Where To? > Menu > Search Near > A Map Point > {Select Search Location on Map} > Use > {Choose Desired Category}

Thanks, I wondered if there’s a better way than scrolling a map potentially hundreds of miles.

find>search near>city would be nice, or along route, or at destination.

find in general is a mess.

Only as difficult as you make it.

If your desired destination is several hundred miles away and you scroll the map while on the 20m scale, that is silly.

I always zoom out a few clicks on the map so it is much easier to select the desired location. Frequently, no scrolling or panning is even required.

There are 2 workarounds;

1) cities>Enter city name, exit cities: search near>recent finds

2) look up the location, postcode etc in either Expore, Google maps, maps.me etc, send it to the Montana with Explore
