Have a Montana 680. I would like to link it to some software on my Laptop so it allows lat and long data to be recorded on the software live. I’ve downloaded the Garmin usb drivers for the laptop, set the NMEA in/out on the gps itself and plugged the gps into the laptop using the usb lead that came with the equipment. On the software I can’t find the gps signal, I have changed com ports and set the baud rate to 4800. Anybody successfully got an NMEA output in a Montana 680 before? Or does anybody know the method for getting data from the gps to computer. Any help much appreciated. Thank you.
