Questions

Hello, I have made this enquiry to Garmin support in my country by email and have not received a reply...

Let's see if I have more luck here...

In the Montana 700's specifications it says "high-speed USB", no more. Can anyone tell me what type it is?

The Montana 610 I have now also says "High Speed USB", but the actual recording speed on the SD card is 12 Mb/sec which corresponds to 1.5 MB/sec. This is USB 1.1, which is not high speed.

The results of my tests by copying a map with a size of 742 MB:

To the internal memory of the GPS, 892 seconds 0.83 MB/s
To the SD placed in the GPS, 470 seconds.1,58 MB/s
To the same SD in an external reader 50 seconds.15 MB/s

The WiFi connection allows you to upload maps or files to the GPS?

Is it true that external maps, for example from Open Street Maps, cannot be loaded onto the SD card?

Greetings
