I am holding off on buying until I can purchase a plan that covers all devices on one plan... and I won't need to switch constantly.
It was promised for the end of 2025...
Any news on that?
Thanks!

True but I guess an answer to your question is in the same article:
“Thus, with at least the technical side partially complete, I figured I’d check back on whether that’s still the plan. Garmin responded…
I believe in Corporate greed. I don’t believe it will be possible to have more than one device active under one subscription.
Yes...saw that
https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=SychyF0fSz0v8LzzvGURP8 also provides some info on this topic
This is a little deceiving... You have multiple devices on one account... but I would like to have one subscription for multiple devices, which is currently not possible. All devices need to be on a separate subscription if you want them to work at the same time. Otherwise you need to switch subscriptions from one to the other
That’s correct, it looks like multiple subscriptions for different devices under a single account.
Curious though where you read that it was promised (and by whom?) that multiple active devices under a single plan would be supported?
Isnt that what Ray is saying in his article of yesterday?
“We are actively working on a solution that will allow customers to have multiple devices active under one subscription plan simultaneously.” [Garmin, September 4th, 2025]

“Thus, with at least the technical side partially complete, I figured I’d check back on whether that’s still the plan. Garmin responded today (Dec 3rd, 2025) that “at this time we don’t have anything fully confirmed”. It’s unclear from my discussions with them if they’re sticking to the original plan without an updated date, or if they’re aiming for a new plan that would require multiple subscriptions per device, which…would properly suck.”
Maybe a new plan or subscription level in the future that will support multiple devices at the same time from a single subscription?
yes thats what i am hoping for... but wonder when it would happen. until then I will stick with H1iP and 8 Pro

I already had an Inreach 67i so I was going to just add a second subscription for a few months.
When I was setting up the Mini 3 Plus I kept getting an error message saying my phone number was already in use.
I called Garmin support and was told to just transfer my service to my other device as it happens within minutes and can be one from a cell phone.
Since I had read the DCRainmaker post I had thought multiple devices would be allowed but in the interim I will leave it this way.
The Mini 3 Plus is much nicer for MTB rides than the 67i since I don't notice the weight in my pack.
Hopefully Garmin will support multiple devices on one subscription (maybe not on the least expensive plan but on the others?).
