over heat

Hi, I got a over heat varning. The inreach mini was really varm from charging batteri. Using a regular USB cable to mini. Now it has cooled down and I am trying again with my regular Garmin USB-UsbMini. No overheat yet. Why did it over heat at 70% battery power? Should I change battery? Now when I charge from USB it looks ok. Strange...

  • Charging might or might not be the cause of overheating. In some cases, there are external causes - like leaving the device in the sun, on the dashboard of your car. In a situation like that, it might be that the occurrence of the warning in conjunction with charging is a coincidence.

In any case, I cannot imagine that the cable has anything to do with it (as long as the cable is not damaged).
