I purchased a second hand Garmin Inreach. When I am attempting to activate the device using the Earthmate app or manually on the website by entering the IMEI and Auth Code.
Steps:

previous owner unlinked the device from their account

factory reset the device

downloaded the Earthmate app on iOS

turn bluetooth pairing on, on the Garmin
-
go into Earthmate app and select pair device -> Inreach Mini
-
click the connect button
-
pair device
-
go to My inReach
-
click activate
Receice error message "Unable to complete activation"
Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips please? I've been trying to get this working for days and will now be without communications for my trip
