I recently purchased the Garmin InReach 2 and have been putting it through its paces. However, I've run into an issue that I can't seem to resolve.

While my messages are successfully being sent from the device, they never seem to arrive on my recipients' phones. Oddly enough, when I send a message via email, everything works perfectly, and they receive it in their inbox as expected. I've already checked their spam folders in the messaging apps, but nothing seems to be there either.

Has anyone experienced this before or know what might be causing the problem? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

There are several possible reasons for this kind of thing. The most commonly reported one is an issue with the recipient's cell phone provider. The SMS message contains a shortened link to a web page showing the location from which the message was sent. Some providers consider ANY SMS message containing a short link to be spam - and they block them. IF this is the problem, you can work around it by turning off the short link. You can do this from the lower right corner of the Account tab on your account at explore.garmin.com. IF removing the short link solves the problem, open a support ticket - Garmin works with cell providers to get them to stop blocking the SMS messages.

It is also possible that something has gone sideways with your account on the Garmin end. Open a support ticket to check into that. As noted in the referenced thread above, you may have to escalate the ticket.

Thanks, I juste tried sending a message without location link inside the SMS, but did not change anything. I will try opening a chat with garmin.
