Live tracking without cell service

Hello! If I have a Mini 2, how can my location be tracked on a map without cell service? What other Garmin device on the other end would let my location be seen? (I know Mini2 to Mini2 can share coordinates and messages without cell service.)

Afaik there’s no way for others to view your location without requiring some kind of internet connectivity in combination with the Mini 2.

You can indeed send inReach messages with your current location to another inReach device but that isn’t automated and requires the sender to initiate the message sending. See https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=0tPHwxbEN98Yof6bXE55Z7 for more info.

Do you know of any standalone devices where two people could share and track their locations? Without cell service.

I'm not aware of any other products that Garmin currently sells that can do this. Other manufacturers I'm not really familiar with, so maybe someone else here can provide some pointers.
