InReach Connection with Heart Rate Monitor

Hi there,

I want to connect my InReach Mini with my Heart Rate Monitor. I want the Heart Rate Monitor to send readings every 10-minutes to the InReach and then for the InReach to send that my Admin InReach account every 10 minutes. I have unlimited messages on my subscription and my InReach is send to submit every 10 minutes.

I see that the Garmin HRM has Ant+ and Bluetooth, both of which the IR Mini also has. But I don't see anywhere whether they are compatible, instead it always refers to watches or smartphone apps.

Is there a way for me to do this without a smart or a watch? My plan B would be to submit from HRM to Smartphone to the InReach. But that would require I can automatically send the readings from my Smartphone to the InReach.

Anyone has knowledge on this?

    The inReach Mini doesn’t support connecting an HRM like the Garmin fitness products do.

    Your plan B also won’t work because it’s simply not possible to have the inReach Mini record heart rate data.

    (PS this is the inReach Messenger forum, maybe a mod can move this to the Mini 2 forum?)

    Hi Jim, thanks for replying! Hm, do you have a solution how I could do this? I mean I could transmit it to my phone and enter in manually on InReach as a message, but it's not really doable as I would have to do it every 10 minutes.

    Ehm, if it's possible with a IR Mini 2 that would be a solution, but right now I am using a IR Mini (not 2). Thats why I put it in this forum.

    It's also not possible with an inReach Mini 2. The Mini's simply do not support connecting to an HRM strap.

    Other than manually entering your heart rate when sending a message I do not really see an automated solution for this.

    Also, just wondering why you would want to send heart rate with each track point?
