InReach email address has STOPPED WORKING, including InReach-to-InReach messaging

The ability to send emails to InReach -- with an address like example AT InReach . Garmin .com- has totally stopped working.

This means we can no longer email to our InReach devices. It ALSO means that InReach-to-InReach messaging is BROKEN, because this relies on the at inreach .garmin .com emails.

All attempts fail and nothing ever arrives.

The device-to-device messaging failure is particularly concerning........ this means that if you are on a wilderness trip, group members CANNOT message each other between their devices.
This is a huge safety issue and totally negates the reason for buying these devices and paying for service.

Exactly this: you can use the inreach address for device to device communications. It won't work as a regular email address…

The inReach address does not work as an email address, and has never done so. It looks like an email address but doesn't work like an email address. See Understanding the inReach Address. Messaging between inReach devices does use the inReach address, but it's not email.

So if you're having issues with device-to-device communications I suggest to contact Garmin product support.

hmm, not clear, I use those addresses for communication within the fleet since 2015

I stored it in address book and can use it for msg device to device

there were some times when it was not possible to send msg to self, but works now

Exactly this: you can use the inreach address for device to device communications. It won't work as a regular email address where you send an email to the inreach address using a mail client.
