When you pair your inReach Mini 2 to your phone via Bluetooth, what is the maximum distance the inReach Mini 2 can be separated from your phone and still be paired?
When you pair your inReach Mini 2 to your phone via Bluetooth, what is the maximum distance the inReach Mini 2 can be separated from your phone and still be paired?
Just curious, why are you asking?
Never tried it personally, but I guess it would be the same as any device that is paired via bluetooth, typically around 10 meters or so. But it will vary greatly depending on circumstances.
@JungleJim thank you for the response. I was just curious because I was not able to find the answer in the Garmin manual.
@JungleJim - If I attach the inReach Mini 2 to my dog's harness, and he goes beyond 10 meters, I will no longer be able to track him in the Garmin explore app?
If the inReach Mini 2 gets out of bluetooth range from your phone, then no.
But if you want to track your dog, then I don't think the inReach Mini 2 is a device suitable to do that. Garmin provides other products for that, like the Alpha series.
