When you pair your inReach Mini 2 to your phone via Bluetooth, you can have the Garmin Explore app on that same phone show your location on the map based on the location coming from the inReach Mini 2 (instead of via the GPS location on your phone).

Yes, that is what I am looking for. 

When my phone is paired to my inReach Mini 2 via Bluetooth, and I am viewing the map on the Garmin Explore app,

is the location on the map in real time or is there a delay?

The location is realtime, the Explore app will use the location as transmitted via Bluetooth by the inReach Mini 2.

Make sure the setting “Prefer Device Location” is turned on in Explore app, you can find it by opening the map settings (layers icon) from the map screen.
