How do I change the Check-In messages on an Inreach Mini 2?

It seems that Garmin has changed how to edit check-in messages and recipients, but has not updated any of their guides. Has anyone figured out how to do this lately?

From what I've been reading all over the place, you can't change the messages with the current "check-in" option that corresponds to the "unlimited check-ins" in the subscription plans.

People with older plans apparently had some better feature for editable messages you could send for check ins, by editing them on the Explore website. This may have been grandfathered in when the change was made. However, I saw a video blogger complaining that there was a deceptive upgrade message that, if accepted, would take this away and convert your account to the new type.

That is correct, 6125703, I believe but can’t remember for sure if it’s on the Explore website. Trying to get people to upgrade to something that is actually less, and quite a few have done it with out realizing what they just did. A downgrade of what they just had. Tricked into less, with no gain whatsoever. Perhaps to get you to use quick messaging more often, which you will have to pay for.
