inreach mini 2 endless waiting for GPS

hi everyone, my inreach 2 cant find any GPS signal or GNSS, did reset, hard reset,updated to last firmware 4.22 , putted it outside with clear sky for half day, nothing. i assumed because of that he also shows wrong date and hour. Talked to support, they said me that i need active subscription, but that insane) had anyone the same problem? correct time at the photo should be tue 13 09:17

An active iR subscription is not needed for gps receiption (that is absolutely nonsens). I would sync with Garmin Express and try it again outside.

Perhaps your EPO file is expired (Settings > System > About) and you should refressh it?

i already sync it with garmin express, nothing changes

how can i refresh that EPO?

found it in the folder RemoteSW - EPO

Ok, that’s looks identical to my mini 2. I have no idea what may be wrong with your device. I would call support again (and tell them m2 is working without subscription):

Using an inReach Mini 2 Without a Subscription

The inReach® Mini 2 satellite communicator has a few functions that work without an inReach subscription plan, but there are a number of communication features that require an active plan. See below for more information on both.

When you power on your inReach Mini 2 communicator, select your language and you will reach a message prompting you to activate the device. From this screen, select Skip with the OK button and the inReach Mini 2 device is ready to use.

Zhe EPO file is up to date (current). You can update the file with sync via Express ore the Explore app.

on more idea (if you haven’t already done that): perhaps you should reset your device. Maybe there is a glitch/hanging with the gps receiption?

I did it couple times, I want to try to take off back cover and unplug battery if it doesn't help then probably it's some hardware issue

Hello, I have a few questions regarding what is going on but first wanted to address that if the back cover is removed it will void any warranty with the unit that you have with Garmin. Our recommended troubleshooting steps typically will resolve issues without having to open the device up.

I am not sure how they recommended you do the reset of the device but I would recommend making sure you reset it using these steps Full Reset of the inReach Mini 2. Secondly are you only testing this inside? Have you had the unit outside and let it do a GPS soak? Poor Satellite Reception on an inReach.

I would recommend that if you are within the return period where you purchased your device to exchange the unit with them. If not, please contact Product Support directly for assistance with your device as it most likely will need to be replaced.
