InReach Mini 2 stuck on boot up GARMIN logo

I have been using the InReach Mini 2 for 3 days with great success. I have been able to sync with basecamp and with mapshare. Today I completed another basecamp sync, powered off and unplugged the device from my PC. I went outside and when I powered the device back on it remained stuck on the boot up GARMIN logo screen. I went back inside and I plug the device back into my PC and it is no longer regonized and it is still stuck on the GARMIN logo screen. It seems like this device is hung on this boot up screen after several power cycles. How do I resolve this item? Getting ready for a big trip in a week so don't have much time to resovle.

You can try a factory reset. Since the device won't boot, you will have to do this from the buttons.

Before attempting the factory reset, you should try the forced restart as described here:

Hopefully, this will get the device started normally.

If not, you can TRY the reset sequence for the M1 as described here.

That article is for the M1 not the M2. I was unable to find the same info specifically for the M2. If this does not work, you will have to open a support ticket.

I am happy to report that all the data and settings are still in place.

Restarting the inReach Mini 2 will not erase data or change settings. While this works best when the inReach Mini 2 is connected to a power source, it can be performed at any time.

Connect the inReach Mini 2 to a charger or computer.
Press and hold the Power for at least 12 seconds
Release
Press and hold the Power until it turns on
