How can I sync Mini 2 only using a PC (not app Explore)?

I have a personal Mini 2 and it works great. Now I have bought another one for the mountain club, but we don't have a club mobile phone to sync data with.

Can the data (contacts, preset messages,...) that I enter in explore.garmin.com of the club account be synchronized but using only a PC and the connection cable? Thank you

You can't. In the new, "improved" Garmin ecosystem, you need a mobile device and the Explore app for this. The old desktop sync program does not work with M2. Garmin Express will sync with the device,…

You can't. In the new, "improved" Garmin ecosystem, you need a mobile device and the Explore app for this. The old desktop sync program does not work with M2. Garmin Express will sync with the device, but only (AFAIK) for firmware updates.

Nobody knows why Garmin believes this to be a good idea.

As an aside, you do not need a dedicated "club phone" for this. Although it's a bit of extra pain, you can sync the device through ANY mobile phone. You do need the explore app on the phone. And you must pair the device with the phone (via BT). Pairing is the extra painful part. Then just log into the club account in the Explore app and sync.

Thanks so much for the explanation. Before asking I have looked for a lot of information and that was what I was afraid of, although it was not clear. a pity I have done the synchronization with my mobile, logging in with the other account, but it is a mess later to go back to my data and personal link with my inReach. Thanks and Garmin please make this easier so it can be used by groups of people (more potential customers) :)

I am fighting with Garmin for some more useful way of sync and configure new devices. Imagine to have to setup and maintain some 300 inreach devices with phone sync. But they promissed....but it will never happen
