Hello, people are following my journey across 600 miles of Canadian wilderness. I need to conserve battery life on my inReach Mini 2 in case I need to use the SOS button, so I do not want live tracking, not even on a 4 hour update interval. I would rather update my location manually 1 time when I set up camp for the evening.
What's the best way to do this? Should I use Waypoints? Start tracking and then immediately stop it? I'll be traveling for 40 days do not need "live" tracking but rather a daily ping to update the map at share.garmin.com.
