messenger and explore app on android

I was just playing lot with messenger plus devices and there it is useful to have explore app installed as well on the phone, as this will then handle geo information.

Just took my messenger standard now, made SW update, and see that this one can be connected to the messenger app, but not to explore app.

Is it really so or am I doing something wrong?

The Messenger (non plus) ist not listed as a compatible device for the Explore app: support.garmin.com/.../

As Volker also mentions, the Garmin Explore app does not support the Garmin Messenger. The device only works with the Garmin Messenger app.

thanks, I thozght so, but was not sure if I am doing something wrong and was confused after playing with the plus devices for some time

A little bit strange that the older mini 2 is compatible with the Explore app, but not the newer Messenger (non plus).
