What is Garmin ID? Same as inReach address?

I'm trying to setup my inReach for an event, and it's asking for a Garmin ID. My inReach address is name123@inreach.garmin.com, so would my Garmin ID would be name123? Thank you

Where exactly is "it" asking for a "Garmin ID"? Can you be a bit more specific? Afaik there is no such thing as a "Garmin ID".

"It" is the website for the event. I've selected inReach, and I'm prompted for a Garmin ID. I'm not getting a very fast response for submitted questions for that website, so I was hoping to be overlooking something. Thanks JJ for your response.

I believe this is the solution. What they are asking for is the MapShare address. I just changed the 5 digit code to the name I'm using for the event, and things are looking good. It would have been much easier if this was specified differently, but maybe not all Garmins have the same addressing schema.

Sounds like something that should be clarified on the event site then, not something Garmin can help you with.
