A newly activated account, a few manual and automatic tracking points were sent as well as a check in - nothing on the map. Mobile or desktop. In app or when a link sent to friends.

Also getting this when trying to open a location link from an email. Even an older email. Something is seriously wrong with MapShare
Take a look at Setting Up MapShare for the inReach Messenger Series (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=Pkz64zXjIs32zF3nO6XoDA) and Tracks Not Showing in MapShare or Garmin Explore Website (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=z5yTap8N6r5tE8VzWhWHE7) for more info on how to setup the MapShare page and viewing a track.
None of the instructions work. In all my views I have zeros in brackets - there is nothing to unhide. Like my device has never sent anything.
Not sure if it is relevant, but in map sharing options it keeps asking for my permission re cookies and privacy, but the green button to accept it does not do anything.
Just to be sure, are you logging in to Explore web with the same Garmin account on which the inReach subscription was activated? When logged into Explore web do you see the inReach Messenger listed under the Subscription & Devices tab?
Although Explore website and MapShare page are quite slow, they have been working fine for me (and I guess others otherwise there would be a lot more posts about it here).
I'm confused - do you mean in the app? Or is there a web page somewhere?
(NOTE: info below edited to change incorrect info)
The Garmin inReach ecosystem consists of the following which is relevant to your question and the inReach Messenger:
You can use the Garmin Explore website to manage your inReach subscription, create tracks MapShare settings, inReach setting, manage your Library with routes, tracks, waypoints and courses, and set your quick text and preset/check-in messages.
The Garmin Messenger app allows for messaging and controlling tracking for your inReach Messenger. It also allows for managing your inReach subscription and settings like MapShare.
The MapShare page is the page where others can track your progress and you can share the URL to this page to people of your choosing.
And finally when you include your location in inReach messages, receivers can view the location by clicking on the link in the message.
So my question was whether you have everything configured correctly, as in linked the inReach Messenger to the correct account, which you can verify by login in on Explore web with your Garmin account, or in the app with the same Garmin account.
From your original question it is not entirely clear to me what your issue is. You mention MapShare, but the screenshot you post is of the location link included in inReach messages, which are different things.
You also mention "In all my views I have zeros in brackets" but you don't specify what "views" exactly. Is it in the Garmin Explore website?
Thank you for bearing with me.
The map started to work after I generated a new link. Now in the messenger app I can see my track. And the link that I shared with friends - shows my track too.
Should I have downloaded one more app? I thought Garmin Messenger covers it all for my inReach Messenger?
Anyway, the remaining problems are:
1. When me and other people receive my check-ins - they see the red message from above. The email contains coordinates, but the map shows error.
2. There is a big delay between my actual position and what is available on the track map. 3-6 hours. Is it considered normal?
Ah sorry you're right, the Messenger app is the app to use with the Garmin inReach Messenger, as the device is not compatible with the Garmin Explore app. I've edited my previous post to reflect that.
If the page linked to from a check-in messages always gives an error I'd either try a different browser to see if that makes a difference, or try on desktop instead of mobile. If it happens all the time I'd suggest contacting Garmin Support.
Not sure about the delay of your position as shown on your MapShare page (I assume that's what you mean with "track map"). But there are a lot of factors involved, satellites, internet, Garmin servers, etc so there could be some delay sometimes. But personally I haven't experienced any issues with that.
no idea, but having problems with mapshare currently too. It simply does not show any tracking, but it shows when the device sent a preset msg.
I can say that mapshare does not work currently as it should work.
I am supervising a device on a mission and using mapshare does not show trackpoints, positions are shown only when the device sends a message.
On explore, there is all OK.
After logging into the explore, all track points are shown in mapshare too.
So mapshare does not function properly now.
