In the FAQ on the new inReach plans I was not able to find what happens when a suspended Freedom plan is migrated to the new plans (this happens starting December 2024 on the next annual renewal date of a Freedom plan).
So I asked Garmin Support via chat, and the answer was that suspended Freedom plans will be migrated to the Enabled State. Makes kind of sense to me, but the effect is that people with suspended Freedom plans will need to start paying the $7.99 fee, unless they cancel their plan.
So my suggestion to Garmin is to add this to the FAQ because it is useful to know this consequence of the migration.
