Mapshare messages arriving from [email protected] ?!

I enabled mapshare and shared the link with my mom, who sent me a message from the Web page. However, it shows up with recipient [email protected]. Using the remote feature (see pic). If I try to reply, I then get an acknowledgement message from the test service [email protected].

Is this intended? If so, does this mean it is not possible to reply to messages sent from the mapshare page? Is it one-way communication? That seems potentially dangerous.

Hi, I determined that this was in the end due to an old version of the inreach firmware (2.x). After upgrading to the latest firmware the senders are now shown correctly.

Hello, what is the URL for the link she has? Is it share.garmin.com or inreach.garmin.com? There is not a function to do a test message from the MapShare page so I wonder if maybe she is not in the correct place?
