Bought a new inReach Messenger, paired and activated it, but the software update from the messenger app on Android fails with the message "Software Update Failed; Failed to transfer software update to the inReach Messenger. Try again.". Tried 10 times, but nope.
The device is obviously paired because I see it in the app.
Any idea why this would happen or how to troubleshoot it further?
The Messenger seems to be on firmware ver. 2.20. Just bought it a few days ago. Is it possible the current version is 4.01?
P.S. There is also frequent mentioning of "syncing" the Messenger with the Android app, e.g. to transfer contacts and message presets. How do I do that? It seems to have synced once, randomly, but now fails to do it again and I cannot see any menu item to trigger the sync.
