Bought inreach messenger, installed Garmin messenger app on android and update of device did not work. Messenger app showed much less functionality as it should. Tried two days to find solution, what worked for me is installing Garmin Express on PC, update via PC and now it works as it should. I also installed Garmin Explore on my android phone but not sure this helped since it tells my device was not compatible. Anyhow now it works, might help others (there are so many Garmin software products and with sometimes outdated info that the whole process is not always intuitive
