We jaust carrried a test:

Messenger fully charged, then kept outside, moving all the time, sending trackpoints every 20min

Did work perfect for 9 full days, sent possibly some 650 points.

I think nothing to complain abt?

Yes, the battery life is just phenomenal compared to the other Garmin iR devices, but that may be related to the less functionallity/litte display (one has to check what you need/want before you are buying one) of the messenger. And the new antenna is also great.
