Why no GLONASS in Auto Select satellite mode?

I noticed that when I put my H1 (fw 11.07) into All Systems + Multi-Band satellite mode, it will receive GLONASS signals (as evinced in the Satellite app). But when I set the device to Auto Select, it doesn’t seem to include GLONASS signals when Auto Select uses multi-GNSS and multi-band.

Anyone else seeing the same? Is this intentionally or a bug? I would assume that auto select (SatIQ) mode also include GLONASS (at least on the H1 as the H1i Plus doesn’t support GLONASS if I’m not mistaken). This Garmin support article also implies that GLONASS is included in All Systems + Multi-Band: support.garmin.com/.../

    I can't confirm or deny that particular issue but I do know that v11.07 has somehow royally screwed up the satellite info app & page. For this as well as the broken (once again) map layers fiasco, I have reverted back (It's an easy process)  to v10.13 on my eTrex Touch and I couldn't be happier. I have no more tolerance level for these consistent and odd issues brought on by every firmware "update".

    Does GLONASS work for you with firmware 10.13?

    The GPS firmware was updated from version 10.01 (in FW 10.13) to 11.02 (in FW 11.07), so it's interesting to see how this impact GLONASS reception. And indeed it seems behavior has changed between those two firmware versions...

    I am NOT seeing GLONASS on v10.13 with the unit set to Auto Select but I do see it with All Systems + Multi Band enabled. Maybe Auto Select uses your particular region to know which constellations to use (I'm in the US in California).

    The constellation swiping bug in v11.07 is definitely NOT present in v10.13. Swiping between them is instantaneous and not that herky-jerky mess that 11.07 introduced. The pages in v10.13 don't even pan (with motion) as with 11.07. Maybe this was was considered an "update", adding motion to it. Regardless, I definitely do NOT like it one bit.

    Note that backdating the main unit firmware will also backdate the GPS firmware (as well as the others that were updated) so it backdates everything.

    So it seems that GLONASS behavior is the same between GPS firmwares 10.02 and 11.01. Maybe there’s a specific reason why it is not used in Auto Select mode, but GLONASS is used in All Systems + Multi-Band.

    I’m currently in the UK but normally in The Netherlands.

    The issue with swiping the pages in the Satellite app is indeed quite annoying.
