Not sure if this has changed recently or has always been the case, but there are some issues with the map theme for the Topo Active maps. This is with firwmare version 7.07, but map theme seems to be released separately from the firmware in the past (Express offers it as a Typ file).
- pathways for hiking and walking are shown differently between various walking related activities. In Hiking activity, these pathways are shown as red dashed lines. But in Walking activity, the same pathways are not highlighted at all. Which seems like a weird design decision because in both activities pedestrian/hiking pathways are relevant.
- cycleways are shown the same as pedestrian/hiking pathways in Hike profile. This also seems like a weird choice because in hiking related activities you'd usually want to avoid cycleways.
- the map theme in Hike activity is very different than for other activities. Besides the red dashed paths, areas are also shown differently. But it seems Hiking is the only activity that has a different theme applied?
This seems to be an issue across multiple Garmin devices, for example see Trails invisible while navigating on Enduro 3 - Enduro 3 - Wearables - Garmin Forums.
Anyone else seeing the same?
