After overcoming the initial problems, I am so far not unhappy with my H1. But there are some functions which I am missing and which my old 66 has.
- reversing a course/track like this: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/gpsmap66s_st/EN-US/GUID-B861CB8A-D1BB-481B-B2F0-8ADE5D3467F3.html
- zoom levels for waypoints and POI. Panning around in a city, you don't see the POI because there are too many, or saying, you don't see the forest for the trees. On 66 with zoom level you can narrow down when the symbols for the POI and the waypoints should appear. https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/gpsmap66s_st/EN-US/GUID-ABE3E06B-9A0D-418B-89AA-1694FCA8D4EB.html
- Start and stop an activity just by pressing enter., just one klick each. On the H1, when you use the keys, you need for klicks to start and 5 klicks to stop an activity.
- On the 66 you have profiles, You are able to make different profiles for the same activity. Eg.Hiking with no auto pause and Hiking for sightseeing with auto pause when taking photos etc. The H1 has no profiles. You have to go each time in the settings, instead of just load profiles for the different sets of settings.
- the 66 has the option to filter waypoints by symbols. press find > waypoints > menu > choose symbol. The H1 has no such option. Instead you can choose collections, which is really nice. Adding the filter option would be even better.
- The 66 can archive activities. The H1 can not. Even when in Explore you move the activities from the main synced collection to a not synced collection, they remain in the saved app on the H1 and are always visible if you don't filter by waypoints or routes.
This all is complaining at high level. Would be nice to get some of these 66 options, but better Garmin get rid of the known bugs.
