I tried a protective case on my H1 and it messed up the map's orientation on the screen: the upward-pointing line didn't work.
I was thinking of getting a screen protector too: has anyone tried using the touchscreen with a screen protector?

I have a brotech screen protector from Amazon on my H1i Plus and it seems fine, not had any issues with using the touch screen.
Why do you need to add a protective case?
Garmin: "This device is built to meet MIL-STD 810 standards for thermal, shock, water (IP67) and vibration to withstand weather and extreme temperatures."…
I shared the same viewpoint until my previous GPSMAP66 was dropped and its screen was damaged (a significant impact).
A damaged screen is not comfortable to use.
But would an extra screen protector even make a difference in the case of such a serious impact? I doubt it. It’s mostly just for scratch protection to some extent. Anyway, not to turn this into a long debate – everyone will do what they think is best. I just wanted to share my point of view :)
