Only Garmin knows, and as far as I know they don't tell when an update will be released. So not much more to do than wait.

Looking at the recent release schedule, it appears they are releasing updates almost monthly. So you may not have too much longer to wait.

Garmin Express just offered me version 7.07 for the H1/H1i Plus. Unfortunately no change log available yet. 

Note that Garmin releases updates in stages so it may take a couple of days before it comes available for your device.

Thanks for the tip off Jim. Unfortunately 7.07 not yet available here, but I’ll try again tomorrow to see if it’s filtered through. Will keep an eye on the change log also.

Garmin Express does indeed show that there is a firmware update of version 7.07 for the GPSMAP H1. After the update was completed, I was somewhat disappointed. The official claim of supporting up to 1TB capacity memory cards still hasn't been resolved in this version of the firmware. A 32GB memory card is recognized without any issues, but a 128GB memory card still cannot be recognized (the 128GB memory card can only be recognized after being inserted into the device after startup, and it becomes unrecognizable again after a restart). Both memory cards are from SanDisk.

I updated to version 7.07 using Garmin Express.
From an initial test, a couple of bugs that I was aware of have been fixed.
Hopefully, reliability has improved above all.
