What exactly do you mean with "getting stuck on a route"? Does recording not resume automatically when you start moving again and when the display is off?
If you can consistently reproduce the issue, best report it to Garmin Support.
Are you running the most recent v6.04 firmware that was released Dec 19, 2025? If not, update and try the same sequence of events. It may have been corrected with the newest update which contains MANY changes, and likely some not documented.
