5.09 broke the ability to select maps in Map Manager

Yes, there is no longer the possibility to enable or disable maps with Map Manager, but you can do it with ‘Maps Layer’. I just don’t understand whether it’s a bug or an intentional change.

Agree, also not sure whether this was intentional or not.

For official Garmin maps the change seems to work fine. A TrekMap Italia v6 PRO map I have on my H1 shows as a separate layer in Map Layers. But of course this is only one map and therefore not conclusive.

But for unofficial 3rd party maps it doesn't work (eg OpenFietsMap or Freizeitkarte). They do not show up as separate layers, but as a single CityNavigator layer (this was also the case on the GPSMAP 67 BTW).

Update 5.09 broke the display of KMZ maps I purchased.

I have purchased maps from the producer, the company Compass.
In the previous version, they displayed correctly on the map tile list in the 'Layers' menu. Now, the tiles are there, but they have no map name, and the maps are always enabled, regardless of whether I select the tile or not. It is impossible to disable the KMZ map layer

Thank your for info, so I can calmly wait another two of three months with a decision whether to purchase this product until they will fix it. From my experiences with 66s, it took more than 6 months of firmware changes after the release, until it BEGAN working. So it seems, there's no sense in buying it before march 2026.
