So in this topic Garmin stated that there is an issue with the accuracy displayed in the Satellite app on the H1 series of devices. This should be fixed in an upcoming maintenance release.
I did a test where I recorded the same walk both with a GPSMAP H1 series device and a GPSMAP 67 series device.
Not only the accuracy displayed differs between devices, but the received number of satellites differs as well. Both devices had up to date CPE data.
The 67 series displays consistently more satellites from which data is received, for GPS, Galileo and BeiDou. GLONASS seems about the same. On the 67 the number of satellites for GPS is consistently 12 or 13. On the H1 it varies between 3 and 7, with several bars blinking. Both devices are using Multi GNSS + Multi Band.
I wanted to add some screenshots but the forum software (again) won't allow me to.
The recorded activity shows worse accuracy for the H1 in areas with buildings. In open areas the accuracy seems to be the same.
Anyone else seeing this?
