Importing gpx via connect

Hello everyone,

The course in my GSPMAP 67i is not showing correct information. Below is my flow

Download GPX from Komoot > Import into Garmin Connect courses > Open Garmin connect in my phone > Sync to GPSMAP via bluetooth.

Problems I see

1). Course distance shows up a 8750 miles in gpsmap 67i ! Whereas, it correctly shows as 7.5 miles in the Garmin connect web app courses page.

2). When I toggle right to the elevation map window and the course map window, the information there doesn't make sense. Course map window shows some random location somewhere in the globe and elevation map shows its flat green.

What am I doing wrong here? Any help will be appreciated.

There's also an alternative way to import Komoot routes to the GPSMAP 67: use the Komoot Connect IQ app. This allows you to download Komoot routes directly to the GPSMAP without needing to go through Garmin Connect. Works well for me, maybe it solves the issues you state.

Thanks! Will try it as backup. But I am worried about battery life impact if I start using connect IQ app.

No need to worry. The Komoot Connect IQ can be used to only download the route to your GPSMAP, where it will end up as a course. After that you can use the course exactly the same way as with any other course. The app doesn't need to run in the background or something like that.

The Komoot Connect IQ app also provides it's own mapping and navigation but you do not need to use that.
