67i not syncing with Garmin Explore

All of a sudden my 67i won't sync with Garmin Explore. Not doing anything different than I have been for the last year that I have had it. When I turn on my 67i, Fenix 7, and Explore app the syncing action doesn't stop. The Fenix syncs, then the 67i syncs, then the Fenix syncs, then the 67i syncs, and on and on. But there aren't any of my new tracks that show up on either Garmin device. Until this is resolved I'll use my Apple Watch for hikes with Footpath and Workoutdoors. I'm using a series 10 Apple Watch but if this persists I'll look into the Apple Watch Ultra.

  • This is the forum for the inReach Mini 2. You may want to consider posting this in the GPSMAP 67i forum or the Garmin Explore iOS forum.

  • There are a lot of moving parts here, so you'll probably have to do a little experimenting to discover where the issue lies.

It will be important to identify if the issue is with the ability of one of the devices to sync, or if the issue only occurs when both devices are paired.

Please try unpairing the fenix 7 from the Garmin Explore app and see if the GPSMAP 67i syncs normally.

If the GPSMAP 67i does not sync normally after removing the fenix 7 from the equation, then please unpair the GPSMAP 67i from the Explore app and re-pair it.

Once the GPSMAP 67i is syncing correctly, then you can try re-pairing the fenix 7 to the app to see if the issue reoccurs.

  • I unpaired the Fenix from Explore and Connect. Then I downloaded 4 tracks from my Mac to the Explore website. I did this one at a time. They all show there. But, when I sync the devices from the Explore app on my iPhone I only get two of them. They are the first two I synced. The second two have not synced after repeated attempts. The Fenix is still disconnected.

  • Well. It took a while but the other two showed up. About 30 minutes after my last reply I synced again and the other two appeared on the 67i. So, I'm guessing that it's working but it taking much longer than previously.
