I've suggested a few times that Garmin alter the InReach system to allow devices to ping each other for location. This would be helpful in a number of both routine and emergency situations. It might also stimulate device sales. It's true that an InReach device user can locate another device by going through a third party with Internet access, but I don't see any benefit to anyone, including Garmin, of limiting InReach-to-InReach location pinging. Maybe if enough other people make the suggestion, Garmin will respond.
