Bearing on 67i

Good day

I use my 67i when flying Hot Air Balloons.

How do I get the GPS to show my true bearing in degrees while flying in compass and trip computer mode.

It seems like you have to enter a location to navigate too before it shows you the bearing.

Regards

Mervin

  • That’s true because bearing is the compass reading to a waypoint. Heading is the direction the compass is pointing. The only way you can get your heading with a compass needle showing is to select sight N go while on the compass page, but don’t select lock direction. The other way is just display a data field box that shows heading. Don’t forget to set your compass to true or magnetic in setup/compass or press menu from the compass page and select heading setup. Using the trip computer you can only display a data field box that shows heading. The compass dashboard in the trip computer doesn’t have a sight N go feature.
